REI

Spent what felt like 100 hours in this REI looking for hiking boots. I had some pretty annoying and specific criteria like the coloring and style needed to be attractive (which is difficult when it comes to hiking boots). Cass stuck with me and brought out pretty much every hiking boot REI had until we found the perfect fit. (Both in trend and in comfort.) Cass was knowledgeable and patient! Thanks REI!

Great products, good service people, pleasant demeanors across the board. They STILL stand by their warranty too. Had to do an exchange on my boots. The speed lace brackets came out on the rt boot. I left my insoles in them, and I was hoping they still had them, but alas... my fault! Still great customer service. Poor girl was on her crutches and STILL volunteered 🙋‍♀️ to go check if they were processed. What a trooper! She had beautiful hair too. Way to power through and turn up for work. She had such a pleasant attitude too! I was impressed by their staff that day, for sure!

New Review 1 Star. This REI is a hot mess. We just walked in and bought a "Brand New Sun Shade paid full price etc" Got outside opened the package and sand came pouring out of the box and shade. It's one thing to sell it "as used" but to sell it as New?! WTHeck?! this is the second absurd experiences from this REI in 2 months. Management here needs to pull it together. Last review also 1 * As an old REI employee I was shocked at how bad customer service has gotten? I could have bought the same product at Amazon but decided I wanted to try it on and give business to a company besides Amazon. When I went to buy a Heart Rate Monitor watch. I wanted to try it on first. I asked the employee to try it on, he opened the drawer with all the try on samples, the model I wanted was not in the drawer. I asked "can you open a new box with that model and stick it in the drawer as the new try on model?" he said "No". I said "so you want me to buy it walk outside try it on, walk back inside and return it?" his response "yes you could do that" WTHeck?... What if I wanted to try on and compare a variety of models?! I don't need an employee to greet me with "Hi friends" I need someone who can do their job effectively. So I didn't purchase it from REI.
